James Hobin Bravo! Boston

Thank you for visiting my website. The art on view here was inspired by nostalgia for everything that makes Boston unique. The earliest paintings were done in 1992, when I was just starting out. For the next twelve years I worked as the Boston Parkland Artist-In-Residence, a sort of street performer/artist. Going to paint in the park everyday taught me a lot about rolling up my sleeves and getting things done; I accepted dozens of commissions, produced hundreds of paintings and sold thousands upon thousands of reproductions to tourists and all types of Bostonians. Since then I have branched out to include other mediums, such as lithography and mural making. It is all here for you to see, including the designs for my latest project at the Nathan Hale School in Roxbury. I do hope that you like it. Thank you for opening your heart to the best I have to offer, it is an honor to share this love for painting with you.

Sincerely,
your friend, the artist,
