James Hobin Bravo! Boston

The paintings on view here were inspired by nostalgia for the things that make Boston unique. The earliest paintings were done in 1992, when I was just starting out. For the next twelve years I worked as the Boston Parkland Artist-In-Residence, a sort of street performer/artist. Going to paint in the park everyday taught me a lot about rolling up my sleeves and making it happen; I took dozens of commissions, made hundreds of paintings and sold thousands upon thousands of reproductions to tourists and all types of Bostonians. Since then I have branched out to include other mediums, such as lithography and mural making. It is all here for you to see, including the designs for my latest project. Thank you for opening your heart to the best I have to offer, I do hope that you like it.

Sincerely,
your friend, the artist,
